SELF-FUNDED STUDY PROGRAMME – ZENSHO SCHOLARSHIP – YOMIURI SCHOLARSHIP
In recent years, Japanese immigration authorities have placed increasing emphasis on applicants’ Japanese language preparation before departure and their ability to successfully pursue studies after arriving in Japan. In response to these requirements, Tokyo World Japanese Language School has established a structured admissions and preparatory training system aimed at standardising Japanese language proficiency from the early stages of the application process.
To ensure that students develop a solid and consistent foundation in Japanese before departure, Tokyo World requires applicants to participate in Japanese language training at the Tokyo World Education Centre in Hanoi for a designated period. For the April 2027 intake, applicants must achieve a Japanese language proficiency level equivalent to JLPT N5 before submitting their applications. This preparation plays an important role in meeting the school’s admission requirements and helps students adapt more smoothly to academic life and daily living in Japan.
During their studies at the Hanoi Centre, students will be assessed on their Japanese language ability, study objectives, learning attitude, and personal conduct. These assessments form part of the school’s evaluation process and support students in preparing for their future studies in Japan.
For the 2027 academic year, Tokyo World offers three admission pathways: the January Self-Funded Programme, the April Self-Funded Programme, and Scholarship Programmes for the April intake.
