JOA Japanese Language School is now accepting applications for the April 2027 intake for Vietnamese students who wish to study in Japan.

The programme offers a 1 year and 3 months Student Visa, making it suitable for recent high school graduates as well as applicants with a foundation in Japanese who wish to pursue further education or build their careers in Japan.

ADMISSION INFORMATION

Eligibility

The school accepts applications from candidates who meet the following requirements:

• High school graduates.

• Minimum GPA of 6.0.

• No more than 10 absences during high school.

• Graduated within the past 5 years.

In addition to regular high school graduates, the school also accepts applicants from Continuing Education (GDTX) programmes and former Technical Intern Trainees who have returned to Vietnam for at least one year. These applicants are required to hold JLPT N4 or an equivalent Japanese language certificate.

Japanese Language Requirements

To prepare for the admission process, applicants are required to:

• Introduce themselves in Japanese during the interview.

• Hold a JLPT N5 or equivalent certificate when applying for the Certificate of Eligibility (COE).

Studying Japanese before coming to Japan will help students perform more confidently in the interview and adapt more quickly to their academic programme after arrival.

Tuition Fees

Students enrolling in the April intake will study in the two-year programme.

According to the school:

• First Year: JPY 731,500

• Second Year: JPY 698,500

• Total Tuition for Two Years: JPY 1,430,000

Tuition fees are payable in instalments according to the school's payment schedule, allowing families to plan their finances more effectively.

Student Dormitory Support

Under the admission programme for Vietnamese students, accommodation in the school dormitory is provided for the first three months.

Having accommodation arranged upon arrival enables students to settle into their new environment before deciding on long-term housing if they wish.

Educational Objectives

According to JOA Japanese Language School, the programme is designed around three main objectives:

• Develop students' Japanese proficiency with the goal of achieving JLPT N3, N2 and N1.

• Support students who wish to continue their studies at Japanese vocational colleges and universities.

• Prepare students for the Specified Skilled Worker (Tokutei Ginou) pathway once they meet the necessary requirements.

This structured learning pathway helps students establish clear academic and career goals from the very beginning of their Japanese language studies.

Study Programme

New students begin their studies using the Minna no Nihongo textbook series. After enrolment, classes are organised according to each student's actual Japanese proficiency.

In addition to the core textbooks, the school provides supplementary learning materials to strengthen communication skills and prepare students for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
