In just a few more days, students born in 2008 across Vietnam will officially enter the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination — an important milestone after 12 years of study and a major turning point before choosing their future path.
According to the schedule announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, 10 June 2026 will be the day for candidates to complete examination procedures, verify personal information, candidate numbers, examination rooms, and receive important exam regulations. The official examination days will take place on 11 and 12 June 2026.
This is not only a period for students to focus on revising their knowledge, but also a stage when many experience psychological pressure, stress, and concerns about examination results as well as future directions after graduation.

Important Dates That 2K8 Students Should Note
10 June 2026: Examination Procedures
Students will attend their examination venues to verify personal information, listen to exam regulations, and confirm their official examination rooms.
11–12 June 2026: Official Graduation Examination Days
These are the two most important examination days, requiring students to maintain a stable mindset and good health to perform effectively.
01 July 2026: Release of Examination Results
Candidates can check their results and begin considering admission options suitable for their abilities and future goals.
No Later Than 04 July 2026: Graduation Recognition Results
Schools nationwide will complete the official high school graduation recognition process in accordance with Ministry regulations.
After Receiving Results: University Application Adjustments and Registration
Students should carefully consider their preferred majors, universities, and future career orientations before finalising their applications.
University Admission Results and Enrolment Confirmation Period
Candidates should follow university admission announcements and complete enrolment confirmation procedures within the required deadlines.
Final Preparation Stage: Mental Well-being and Health Are Just as Important as Knowledge
Many students believe that studying more will make them feel more confident before the examination. However, studying under prolonged stress, lack of sleep, or exhaustion may significantly reduce memory retention and exam performance.
A stable mindset and good physical condition can help students:
-
Maintain concentration during examinations
-
Reduce psychological pressure in the exam room
-
Stay calm when facing difficult questions
-
Fully demonstrate the abilities they have worked hard to prepare
At this stage, studying wisely and maintaining good health can sometimes be more important than overworking oneself.
What Should Students Do Before the Examination?
Maintain a Stable Daily Routine
Getting enough sleep and eating properly help the body stay alert and focused.
Revise Key Knowledge Areas
Focusing on important topics helps avoid overload and improves revision efficiency before the examination.
Prepare All Necessary Documents and Supplies
Carefully check examination documents, identification cards, and stationery to avoid unnecessary mistakes.
Avoid Putting Excessive Pressure on Yourself
Examination scores are important, but they are not the only factor that determines a student’s future. The National High School Graduation Examination is a significant milestone, but it is not the only path to success. Besides university, students still have many suitable options such as studying abroad, vocational training, international programmes, or developing practical skills for future careers. The most important thing is finding a path that matches one’s abilities and personal goals.
Some Ways to Reduce Stress Before the Examination
Take Deep Breaths When Feeling Pressured
Slow and steady breathing can help stabilise the heartbeat and reduce feelings of anxiety.
Divide Study Time into Smaller Sessions
Studying in shorter periods allows the brain to absorb information more effectively and reduces prolonged fatigue.
Spend Time Resting Properly
Light exercise, listening to music, or talking with family members can help students relax and maintain emotional balance.
Avoid Comparing Yourself with Others
Every student has different abilities and goals. The important thing is to do one’s best according to personal capacity and objectives.
Family Support Is the Greatest Encouragement for 2K8 Candidates
As the examination approaches, students need companionship and understanding from their parents rather than excessive pressure about scores.
A positive family environment can help students:
-
Feel more confident before the examination
-
Maintain a more stable mindset
-
Gain additional motivation during the final preparation stage
Whether students choose university, college, vocational education, or another pathway, the National High School Graduation Examination will remain a memorable milestone for every 2K8 student.
